Faversham Hop Festival

Faversham Hop Festival Follow the hop-pickers trail to the ancient hop growing and brewing town of Faversham for one of the biggest FREE street festivals in the south east. Music stages, dancers and buskers, Shepherd Neame brewery tours, funfair and family area, a street market and fantastic Kentish food and drink all combine to perfectly showcase the beautiful medieval gem that is Faversham. With Hop growing enjoying a renaissance in East Kent this is the perfect opportunity to discover how the hops are grown, and then used to create the wonderfully British pint of bitter! Craft brewers from around the district will be on hand to offer samples of their lovingly crafted traditional beers. Don’t forget that Kent is also famous for its apples, so Kentish apple juice and cider will also be on offer! Both days feature the exuberant and not to be missed Hoppers Parades. The Sunday parade features the Blessing of the Hops and the Civic Parade to the beautiful Parish Church of St Mary of Charity for the annual Hop Service to which all are welcome.
