Hostel accommodation in Kent

Palace Farm Hostel in Kent provides four star hostel accommodation in the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.  The surroundings are famous for scenery and wildlife, giving excellent opportunities for walking, cycling and enjoying the great outdoors. The hostel has been awarded highest Green Tourism Gold rating for environmental sustainability and we are constantly improving.

The hostel provides perfect accommodation for everyone from a single person through families and groups in double, twin and four to eight bunk private rooms, you will never be asked to share your room.  Bed linen and a light continental breakfast are provided making the hostel the best value B&B in Kent. Sleeping up to 39 in 10 en suite rooms the hostel also makes ideal accommodation for groups where bedding is provided but breakfast is not. Communal self catering kitchens are available for those who wish to cook meals or make packed lunches and there are some great local pubs for meals. There are communal TV rooms and the outside barbecue facilities and picnic benches provide a pleasant place to enjoy the sunshine and wildlife.

Converted from old farm buildings to a very high standard the hostel has two parts:-

The Granary Rooms

The Granary has two twin and two double rooms, one double has an extra single bed, these rooms are upstairs. Carpeted bedrooms and under-floor heating downstairs create a much more homely feel. There is a well equipped kitchen and a comfortable lounge to watch TV or read a book. Picnic benches and patio with BBQ area is also available for granary guests.

 

The Courtyard Rooms

Around the Courtyard are six fully heated en-suite rooms with sturdy custom made 90cm (3') bunk beds. The two family rooms include a double bed with a small bunk above; they make excellent rooms for a family of 2 adults and 3 children or for 4 adults. All rooms are ground floor and one family room has disabled facilities. There is a large lounge/dining room with woodburner and well equipped kitchen with no steps providing good access to wheelchair users. All rooms are linked by a covered walkway. Picnic benches, a barbecue, a patio and lawns make this a perfect venue for dining al-fresco during the warmer months. Table tennis and a football table keep the young at heart occupied and our covered seating area ensures that even wet weather can't dampen the holiday spirit.
